All Hands on Deck! Bring 'em home NOW!
How about if we bring our troops home to work and help manage the spill?

FUCK YOU BP BTW!

I think that we could use about 300,000+ people that are trained in the military to help during a National Emergency on their homeland.

How many military personnel are stationed in Iraq and Afghanistan right now and how long would it take to re-deploy them to the United States?

If it is "All hands on deck" then bring 'em on home now Mr. President!

:dem:

1. And you forgot to mention how much it is costing us to keep them there, and fight
George W Bush's war. I totally agree, get these wars over now. And fuck anybody that disagrees with this.

4. Yep, except that many on DU don't view this as a major disaster. It will be

ok, really, our Govment will make everything alright, just you wait and see. :sarcasm:

Meanwhile, the rest of the world (and for certain the Atlantic coast) will feel the effects of this disaster in very short order.

5. tell We the People that we have another oil war to fight
and the war started one month ago when We the AMERICAN People at large were attacked by the terrorist corporation known as BRITISH PETROLEUM!!!

We must hunt these criminals down and go any and all lengths to stop them. They are not hiding in a damn cave somewhere this time. It is not that simple.

Everyone will very soon understand what this war is really about, the new oil war - the last saga dare I suggest?

:kick: again !!

7. Oh, and guess what! Our elected officials are totally involved in this war, and they are not
on our sides! Say what? Yeah, these people that we have elected to represent us, are with the Oil Corporations! Why is that? Because they have been bought and paid for by these Corps. Naw, that has to be BS, can't be true. Trust me, in probably 80 to 90% this is true and I don't know what we can do about this.

We are Fucked big time and there is no way out of this... No mater who you vote for, "We are Fucked".

8. And after the two wars of choice are ended,
if the troops can help out with the oil disaster, then they can be offered training in the medical professions, and we can begin a transition to single-payer. We need a right to health care, a single point of insurance, and many more medical personnel to come anywhere close to being a civilized country.

We need single-payer health care, not a welfare bailout for the serial-killer insurance agencies.
