Jay Leno is one seriously unfunny asshole. Thinks LA County has only 9 people that go to the library

On the May 11, 2010 edition of the Tonight Show Jay Leno told the following joke:

People here in Los Angeles are upset about the mayor's proposed plan to cut the budget of libraries.

This could affect as many as nine people.

Yes, the audience's reaction was similar to yours: Silence, with not a hint of smile. Guffaws went on strike, giggles called in sick.

And every day I see an amazing number of people coming and going. What I cannot see is why Leno still has a job! He hasn't been funny since before his skunk do grew in.

Everyone I know uses the library... I guess Leno doesn't know anyone who reads... no surprise.

He's a workaholic. One of the more interesting factoids I read about him pre-Coco was that there is nothing personal in his office. If he's ever fired, he wants to walk out of there without having to pack.

I'd love to know how his ratings are doing. There will never be a TV in this house tuned to "The Tonight Show" as long as he's the host.

Vacations and health care are not for the little people. If he doesn't need a vacation, by God, nobody does.

I can't understand how he lives with his wife, a very vocal leader of the group of women in Hollywood attempting to obtain education for women in Afghanistan. Then again, I read about their marriage, too -- he works all the time. When he's not doing The Tonight Show, he's on the road with his "comedy shows" around the country.
