1. Well when the liberal Democrats approve of the job Obama's doing in the upper 90's
then obviously the liberal Democrats are so demoralized that special elections will go down one by one to the Republicans.

4. I am not so sure the issue isn't more complex than that
Maybe it isn't, but please hear me out.

More and more liberal Democrats are coming to see and understand what the Corporate M$M in this country is merely an appendage of the RW Lie Machine. Corporate M$M discusses what the RW Lie Machine wants them to, when they want them to and for how long they want them to.

An Alabama teacher is caught using an Obama assassination scenario as a class geometry problem. Corporate M$M is virtually silent on the matter. Is it even in question what the RW Lie Machine's, and therefore the Corporate M$M's response would be if it was a Democratic geometry teacher using a Bush or Cheney assassination?

Let alone the school districts response, whereas the actual geometry teacher is getting the good ol' boys' "everyone makes mistakes" treatment.

My point is that most everyone, to some degree or another (even if it is only instinctual and they aren't really paying attention) is beginning to notice that Corporate M$M and what laughably passes for "National Dialog" is mindless rah-rah cheering and team boosterism.

Which makes me wonder all the more about these polls, particularly where liberals are concerned. Because if some Corporate M$M asshole called me and asked me if I approved of Obama's job performance, I would answer a hearty "yes", even though the answer is much more complex and overall, it is even possible that I disapprove of his overall performance.

But since I KNOW that my disapproval would be immediately registered by scummy Corporate M$M as disapproval from the RIGHT (that's one of Corporate M$M favorite propaganda strategies - never let the public hear criticism from the Left - turn the volume down to zero), I would NEVER answer to them that I disapprove of Obama.

My whole point is that I am probably NOT the only liberal who feels that way, and so I wonder how much of that 90% approval is people like me swallowing their true response, knowing that it would never be presented as anything other than RW Lie Machine Talking Points.

Just something to consider, and something that may well skew the results of approval polls.

11. I don't buy it for a minute
99.999% of respondents would not be like you, IMO.

Your assertions are anecdotal at best and therefore of no statistical importance.

The poll results, however, are statistically significant.

8. Where are they going to go?
That's the end question to all of these types of debates.
