Jazz stars help New Orleans revival (BBC)

Musicians including Harry Connick Jr, John Legend and Joss Stone are lending a hand to residents still rebuilding their homes and lives in New Orleans.

A number of artists have taken time out from the city's Jazz Festival to take part in community projects following Hurricane Katrina in 2005.

A number of festival performers are also recording Fats Domino songs for a tribute to raise money to buy school instruments and help artists recovering from the hurricane.

Hollywood actor Danny Glover and potential US presidential candidate John Edwards were among the others helping with rebuilding work in the city at the weekend.
