Injured Iraqi Soldiers Are Left To Fend For Themselves

The hypocrisy of our government never ceases. In a stunning article from the Washington Post, Iraqi soldiers, pressed into fighting this illegal and immoral war are provided scant medical assistance in most cases, and no medical treatment in many cases, when wounded in battle.

This is yet another disgraceful example of the shortsighted planning and execution of this "war."

4. true, once they are returned to the states, but their immediate care
is very good, both at the triage hospitals, and the hospitals set up to care for our wounded soldiers in Germany.

It's a completely different scenario for Iraqi soldiers. They've got nothing, and I find that shocking. I would have hoped that you'd be a little more surprised at this news.

5. The reason I'm not more surprised
is that nothing done by the neocons has ever benefitted the people anywhere. It doesn't matter if it's ordinary Iraqis or ordinary Americans, the one thing you can count on is that all us peons are getting a royal screwing.

2. "Decent military hospitals existed under Saddam Hussein, but they were looted during the war
and their doctors fled." That's what happens when you destroy a country and then expect it's people to "stand up" for themselves.

3. This is very true. We have 151,000 returned Veterans on waiting list
Shortchanging Vets is very Norm now. Assistance for the wounded Vets is just not there. Veterans and People are coming as one to help. But its just not enough to make a dent. Staff is short Doctors are leaving. TRI-CARE has been cut in payments to the Doctors. Bush and the dam Republicans claims they support us is just pure Bullshit

6. Given that we feel this is an immoral and illegal war, it is unjust to
give anything but the best of treatment and care to our soldiers. Anything less is a disgrace, and criminal.
