MANY Democrats were once republicans.
And in the last couple of years I have heard MANY republicans say that they are sick and tired of the right wing fanatics that are destroying their party, and MANY are coming over to our side.

W E L C O M E.

Many of us Democrats were also once conservative republicans, and we changed our minds, we evolved, we had the ability to see things clearly, and we'd had enough crap.

Many of the recently converted are coming here, and I welcome them, and I congratulate them. We will find common ground, and we will heal America, TOGETHER brothers and sisters.

C'n I gitta Amen?

2. Yep, I know a few
but mainly I hear that they are now "Independents" or that they are still "Republicans who don't like Bush anymore". Either way, they are coming toward the light. And, I agree, that we should welcome them (biting our tongues and trying not to say "I told you so").

8. When I was in high school, I was apolitical, but I believed in the small government propaganda
I didn't really question the prevailing political dogma as I wasn't aware the Repubs were that dogmatic yet and because I grew up in Mississippi, a very Republican state. Today, my political views have become extensively complex compared to what it was seven years ago and it now a conglomeration of social democracy, socialism, and anarchism.
