15. Are you still in Gatlinburg and just made a day trip to Cherokee?
If so, on your way back to Florida you should stop by my restaurant to eat. It's in Sweetwater Tn, Exit 60, right across the interstate from the Sweetwater Flea Market. My restaurant is called The Country Star. We have great food and great prices! http://www.countrystarrestaurant.com

Stop on by, mention DU, and I'll give you a 10% discount.

PEACE!

Ghost

11. I once saw a fully grown bear kept in a small cage as a tourist attraction
in Cherokee! I'd never go back - what a terrible memory.

12. Back in the late 90s,
I saw a couple of white tigers being kept in a small cage in full sunlight (in July) in Cherokee. They looked bored, miserable and depressed.

I contacted the Humane Society when I got back to my mother's house (she lived not far over the Georgia state line from Cherokee) and was told that as long as the tigers were given food and water, the owner was acting within the law and couldn't be prosecuted. Even now, I find it hard to believe that that's so. For one thing, aren't white tigers an endangered species?

Cherokee... She never liked to talk about it much.. She talked more about her heritage and the secrets of the family....
