Tea Party Turns on Roger Ebert, Mocks His Cancer

The esteemed film critic and prolific tweeter criticized five kids who wore American flag T-shirts and bandannas to school on Cinco de Mayo. The Tea Party beast was awakened, and mocked his recent cancer and the disfigurement it left him.

Five kids were sent home from a California high school on Wednesday for what seems like a fairly open-and-shut case of trying to start trouble.

11. Yes, and don't forget how they trashed the 911 widows...
...once they began to criticize Bush/Cheney.

17. Hell, they made a week-long talking point out of bashing the idea of "empathy"
There is no bottom of the barrel left for them to scrape.

3. The comments read from the "PROUD of MY Country!" bent
Makes me think of what Chris Hedges says about vehicles inordinately adorned w/flag and nationalistic propaganda: do they give off a friendly, inclusive vibe?

Hell no

13. No...but interestingly, it was ostensibly a liberal forum.
... you quickly pick up on how many Establishment talking points many who cast themselves as liberal mindlessly adopt/abide...largely due to how hostile their reaction to unconventional views

15. I've met a lot of people who call themselves 'liberal' when it suits their purpose...
One particular one here at this very site...who doesn't mind blaming 'liberals' for everything he dislikes about the Democratic party...but drapes himself in the 'liberal banner' when it suits his goals.

16. A chief cultural problem/strategy: RW/Con views aren't labeled as such, so many adopt those views...
... since they're woven into the daily round of the broader corp culture life, not realizing what they actually represent, and who, and which orgs, benefit from that

14. Tea bags and tea party
Just was flipping pass Fox and heard some guy on there say" Well the tea party is bi-partisan. These people just want congress to get going and make the laws and pass them. And while doing that they don't want congress to exempt themselves from the laws themselves." He said "When ever congress passes a law they put provisions in it that exempt themselves from following that law. And we of the tea party don't like that".

I am telling you isn't that crazy or what. First the tea party is far from bi-partisan it is all crazy nut republicans who don't want congress to be able to make and pass laws at all. And what in the devil is this that when congress makes a law they exempt themselves. So in other words, they make them selves above the laws they make. Now you see how stupid and ignorant tea bags are.
