Jennifer Knapp sold a million records in the Christian music industry and disappeared.

For seven years, the singer-songwriter questioned the bond between her faith and writing Christian music. And when she reappeared, it was with a mainstream record titled Letting Go and a big announcement: She's a lesbian.

"There's a part of that process deeply entrenched that if I didn't write about Christianity, was I a traitor?" said Knapp, 36. "We are what we do, and I was hyper-aware that my faith was tied to my music. Am I not a musician if I don't write Christian music?"

6. This morning at my church, a wonderful compassionate man

sang a beautiful song to the mothers present. He is very much into Christian music and has a wonderful singing voice. He previously was a youth leader at a more conservative church until he revealed he was gay. They told him to get lost.

Very much their loss and our UCC church gain.

i agree, they loose on many issues and this is a big one. We had a visit last week from someone very powerful in the UCC...his name is Bryan Sirchio, check him out, a very strong Christian Singer/Songwriter.
