I just had a great week thanks to the internets tubes...

A couple of years ago I located a fellow soldier that I had served with in Germany. The last time I'd seen the guy he was headed to Nam. For almost 40 years I never knew if he made it back alive or not. I tracked him down on the World Wide Web and finally located him in Wyoming. My friend retired last fall and for his retirement present his wife bought them a ticket to West Virginia and they came here and we spent a week touring the state and seeing the sights. We all had a great time and I got to see an old friend that I never thought I'd lay eyes on again. Even the bad times we're going through these days can't blot out some good times.

I'm thankful for the old soldier's reunion. It was one of the best weeks I can ever recall.

4. Words and the internet are a very powerful combination.

I can give you "chills," I can make you laugh, cry and feel. It is awesome, to have such power at the common, every day, garden variety, American's fingertips. I look for the next fascist, BushColike, GOPer regime, to try and quash that power, that awesome voice. The Reich Wing can't handle the truth about their dark secrets and shady deeds being exposed and examined in the light of day. "If the neoCONs have nothing to hide, what are they so afraid of?
