I served for almost a dozen years. Despite how our politicians misuse the military, most of the people actually serving are truly great people.

be they file clerks or snipers or anything else...should never have to pay or argue a single medical bill ever not even for hangnail. Ever. And their families. EVER.

Your freedom is guaranteed by the constitution. It is protected by a friendly border on one side, a river on the other, and two oceans. And one son of a bitch army that has nuked a war starter before and wouldn't hesitate to do it again (yes, they would, but let's honor the posture).

Without the threat of this son of a bitch army enforcing the ascendancy of our constitution, this nation would have crumbled into Somalia. Or old Europe. It is an internal threat as well as an external one. Secede and meet the troops.

You go be as smug as you please. Mosquitoes bite us but they are just mosquitoes. You can get excited about 9/11, if you like, but that was just a big mosquito bite. Nasty, but not nation killing.

And get over the silliness of believing that we don't live high on the graves of strangers. Or that a good and moral nation would never do it. We do and it would.

Your freedom, as always, is only as much as you are willing to fight for. There are many ways to fight. But one is to enforce the image of the big guy with a big gun.

I hate the way our military is utilized sometimes, but the people in it are for the most part honorable and selfless. I wish more people knew what it's like to actually serve!

That sentence is bullshit. So you are saying one should not hesitate to write such a blank check, despite better knowledge of the obvious fact that the country is involved in wars of aggression? Some people do "understand" what the consequences and aims are, and therefore choose not to contribute to the system.

Besides, the USA is one of the most militaristic nations on earth. So why the whining that soldiers are not getting enough praise, when the opposite is true? :shrug:

Moreover, many of the people fighting the wars now (not all, but many), signed up after the wars had already started. So they knew
what they were signing up for.

By spreading this type of propaganda, you actually ARE contributing to the wars, even if you think that you aren't.
