"The Shock Doctrine, The Rise of Disaster Capitalism"...................
by Naomi Klein. I'm sure most of you have read that. Does this European crisis remind anyone of what they tried to do (and did for a while) to South American countries during the 70s? I haven't studied it in much detail I'll admit, but the broad outlines seem to be VERY similar. I wonder if this is just another step in the effort to dismantle European social democracies. Or am I just being paranoid?

8. definitely
the rich will not have to give up anything - the workers will and that's why they are fighting. They will have to have stagnant wages, reduced to little pensions and more hours of work. The banks will be saved - not the people.

Perfect time to swoop in, pay their bills (IMF) and they will be slaves to them. Free market capitalism!! Woo hoo!!

9. The only difference is
this time the black ops didn't go in and assassinate the elected head of government w/ a hand picked RW general waiting in the wings to do 'whatever was necessary'. Other than that, it is disaster capitalism all the way.
