Whoopi's anti-tax tirade on The View
Unbelievable! You are a mega-millionaire Ms. Goldberg! Suck it up!

The video is not up yet, but apparently this isn't the first time she's had a teabaggeresque breakdown. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5L0qCpZC588

1. Right after she first arrived at The View I heard her several times refer to estate taxes
as the DEATH TAX. I knew then she was a false progressive. So, this is no surprise.

2. She specifically spoke about
the excise taxes that appear on utility bills and the sales tax. Even though she can afford them, they eventually take a sizable piece of cash out of the hand of working class people.

3. The City of LA just raised water and electricity rates -- huge hikes
You can't outsource jobs, import products and services and then expect to maintain vital infrastructure without tax hikes.

All that cheap stuff from China -- We pay for the low prices in taxes and unemployment. That's the way things work.

5. Whoopi still cool, and that was fairly mild - yeah, like some say & it *seems* true...
And I paraphrase, 'When you're poor you're a Dem when you get wealthy you become a republican' which obviously is not true. But Whoopi is right about the kinds of encroaching taxes: phone, TV, city = less protection more parking tics & impound less time per dime meters, etc, room & food taxes & fees and others those kinds keep coming too. Most people don't think about it and that's the way they like it

Comcast is allowed to be operated as though it were a public utility, so when your Comcast bill goes up it was a legislated matter supporting auto-increases in easements & taxes in advance. That's bullshit. I see busy box changes on the tube, and rerun after rerun along with 10's of thousands of hours in programming I do not give a shit about and I *still* can't hear Billy Crystal say "fuck" in Throw Momma From The Train. Fuck that! She's right,

People need to be heads-up about these incursions - they have us calling them taxes, but they're structured corporate COLA's too. She should have tied it in with ways to nip/tuck more of their dumb asses out of our lives - but she wasn't at a Stanford Policy Review Symposium...

Whoopi was yaking on The View
