"Taking names and kickin' . . ." Just HOW did BP lobby MMS to exempt their drilling

from the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) in April 2009???

Did they encourage Senators and Congress-people to call Minerals Management Service (MMS) who finally exempted them on April 6, 2009? If so, I am fairly certain that The Washington Post will name names, and I suspect my senators, Mary Landrieu and David Vitter, will be two of them.

And we deserve to know. No matter who. What do you think?

(although this article refers to lobbying subsequent to the approval, it is obvious that they also lobbied The Interior Department and MMS previous to the April 2009 exemptions)

1. Looks like Mary Landrieu got more from BP than they paid in fines in recent past.

Rachel or KO yesterday: Mary Landrieu got something like $500,000 while BP paid $25,000 here and $75,000 there.
