Reflecting on Richard Engel's report on last night's Maddow show:

This Times Square bomber.. From a prominent family high up in the Pakistani airforce.. goes home to Pakistan with his "AmericanDream" life kind of crumbling around him... volunteers for training in a terrorist attack on the US and uses his family connections to try and reach out to people who can train him for this....

Maybe his family's friends steers him to people who will give him faux-training? Maybe to keep him alive, screw-up that he is....?

Just rolling the report around in my mind here. . .
