Dumbass Quote of the Day goes to Michelle Bachman
A mind boggling quote from Michele Bachmann on Hannity's show:

Bachmann: Oh sure, that's all they have left now, is they use pejorative terms, hateful terms, against those who are carrying the message. So whether they're attacking conservative talk radio, or conservative TV, or whether it's Internet sites -- I mean, let's face it, what's the Obama administration doing? They're advocating net neutrality, which is essentially censorship of the Internet!
This is the Obama administration advocating censorship of the Internet. Why? They want to silence the voices that are opposing them.

Net neutrality is censorship of the internet? In what alternate universe?

1. I Don't Think I've...

...ever seen a Psycho Talk segment on The Ed Show without mention of Michele Bachmann... and for good reason.

EDIT: While Googling her name to find out how many Ls were in "Michele," I found this picture:

2. What is really sad here
Is there are enough people in her district voting for "HER" and keeping her in office. That is what amazes me, that some many people can be so uniformed or gullible they buy into this kind if insanity from a woman who has no clue as to what is going on.

5. So True, and...
Edited on Sun Apr-25-10 10:49 AM by GirlAfire
...that is what's so frustrating about the crazies on the Right who happen to be public figures; because they throw in occasional big words like "pejorative" and "net neutrality" and because they can speak in certitudes, their constituents and/or people whose paranoia is spoken to by Bachmann and company find an articulate, capable hero in them.
It's just like that William Kostric guy who so many people adored just because he'd heard of Timothy McVeigh and/or Thomas Jefferson and could spout "the tree of liberty..." line.
Unfortunately, that's just the effect pseudo-intellectualism can have on simple-minded and paranoid people.

3. Hard to believe, isn't it?
This coming from the woman who encouraged her constituents not to answer the census and may yet end up costing Minnesota the loss of one congressional seat; her own.

She has the uncanny ability to blow her nose by shooting herself in the foot.

7. That probably goes to her most days
Or, any day she opens her mouth.

To the right wing, censorship means no disagreement with them. Any statement contradicting their idiocy is an attempt at "censorship."

11. There's nothing complex about Michelle Bachman's brand of disconnect...
Its entry level, garden variety Heather/mean girl snark requiring no pith just ego to sustain itself and no, Michelle, I do not want to sit with you and your other windshield-wiper-waving Palin idiot knockoff wannabe beauty queen runner-ups at lunch so nee-ner nee-ner

12. Listen up.
Michelle Bachman's supporters will believe whatever she says and the corporations want to kill Net Neutrality.

How many of you believe we will establish Net Neutrality rules? I have zero hope for any such legislation or action. It is done. We are so screwn.

13. LMFAO.. yeah we are so screwn...
Please. You think the Government has anyone smart enough to gain control of the internet? Really? How long did it take Wikileaks to break the government encryption of the Iraq vid? How many pirate sites are running all over the net? How much file sharing is going on? They can try all they want. Anything they do will be hacked, unblocked, pirated or just laughed at within a week of the attempt. The internet is a Pandora's box that can't be closed again. In spite of all the paranoia and the nut cases like Bachmann.

15. "Dumbass" and "Michele Bachmann" in the same sentence..who'd a thunk it.
Edited on Sun Apr-25-10 01:28 PM by abq e streeter
But I agree with the posters pointing the finger at those who vote for her, and others like her. I've said it before and I'll say it again...She ( and the others) are merely the symptom; those that vote for her ( and them) are the disease.

17. what is it with Bachmann?
I heard somewhere that she turned her house into a foster home and has had something like 20 kids come through there over the year. Have any of you heard the same thing?

18. I don't know much about her except that she was a foster mom and went to graduate school.
I just hate her for her blatant lies. It isn't okay to manipulate people even if you give bachmann her right to have a conservative viewpoint.
