CBS News/New York Times Poll. April 5-12, 2010. N=1,580 adults nationwide. MoE ± 3.

"Should LEGAL immigration into the United States be kept at its present level, increased, or decreased?" April 5-12, 2010

Present level 35%
Increased 16%

"What about ILLEGAL immigration? How serious a problem do you think the issue of ILLEGAL immigration is for the country right now: very serious, somewhat serious, not too serious, or not at all serious?" April 5-12, 2010

Very serious 60%
Somewhat serious 23%
Not too serious 12%

"Do you think the United States is or is not doing enough to keep illegal immigrants from coming into this country?" April 21-24, 2009

Doing Enough 23%
Not Doing Enough 74%

1. You forgot to include what percent want it decreased
The article lists it as 41%. Republican support in 2012. :)
