The country has been waiting for the Senate to act on a judicial nomination for more than 5 months

Jane Branstetter Stranch
Nominee for the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit

  • Attorney, Branstetter, Stranch & Jennings, PLLC
  • Former AFL-CIO Lawyers Coordinating Committee member
  • J.D., Vanderbilt School of Law

  • She was approved by the US Senate Judiciary Committee on Nov 19th, 2009 by a vote of 15-4, more than 5 months ago. She was sent out of committee with bipartisan support. The Judge she was nominated with, Judge Thomas Vanaskie, is already sitting on the 3rd Circuit:

The Senate needs to vote on cloture on her nomination next week, enough is enough.

6th Circuit composition by party of nominating President

Judge Ronald Gilman, who was nominated by William J. Clinton on July 16, 1997, will take senior status in November of this year creating another vacancy.

    1. Democrats hold the Majority in Washington
It is high time we put our boot heel on the throat of the Republicans and start fixing this country. Congress needs to choke off the money supply to every Republican committee member and just run the pukes into the ground. The message should be clear, cooperate with the Majority or your term in Washington is going to be miserable
