I had noticed I rarely saw you post anymore. I hope your health is better.

I have certain topics I just don't discuss with DUers too. As liberal and tolerant and caring as I find them to be, any discussion of my son's autism and its possible etiology brings out the close minded and mean bigots.

Please don't think I have any more of a starry eyed view of this family as I would any family (I had one of those once, too.Barely survived it!) but having participated during Andy's difficult parting and watching people mourn Kephra and a number of others as well as supporting H2O Man and The Magistrate and others during their life threatening illnesses and watching people wish Larisa's mother the best and so on and so on just made me realize that it is that that sustains me here when the tough cantankerous times come and I just want to drown everyone in a bathtub.

most of my family and friends are on the east coast and i didn't want to wake them. but DU is always here -- no matter what time of day.

i always joke that if i got on DU in the middle of the night and said i was going to commit suicide within minutes i would have people trying to talk me out of it.
