I truly hope that this law gets tested all the way to the Supreme Court and gets knocked down so thoroughly that no state will attempt a similar law thereafter. And that Arpaio has a stroke when he can no longer abuse human rights the way he has been doing.

Which means that Obama's next Supreme Court appointee had better be a strong advocate of individual rights or this country is going down the flusher.

6. Arpaio's being investigated up the wazoo by Terry Goddard and the feds.

And now that his personal poodle of a County Atty, Andy Thomas, has resigned, the county officials he's been feuding with just launched a new series of probes against him for misusing county funds. The Board of Supervisors appointed Rick Romley, who was the County Attorney before Thomas. Romley's a Republican but there's no love lost between him and Joe.

Maricopa County is a hot mess.

Do you happen to have a link for that Maricopa County Commissioners' Meeting where Joe sent his goons in to arrest people for merely applauding politely when one man went to speak in the public comment portion of the meeting?
