I've been using a bicycle for transportation for most of my adult life
And I just realized that the amount of oil that will spill into the Gulf this week from that platform accident will vastly exceed any amount that I "save" by avoiding automobile usage when I can.

Is anyone else feeling really small and insignificant?

Or is it just me?

1. I wish I were able to do that...
but I live too far away from my job, and moving closer is not an option for a variety of reasons.

2. I understand what you are feeling...rop
Everything I've tried to do in my life, has all been for naught. I'm looking at the end of my life, as my kidneys are failing and I don't expect to be alive for too many more years, and all I can think is, my life has been wasted, because nothing changed, nothing got better. It's a bad feeling.

4. ...
I'm so sorry your health is not good, but please know that you made a difference. Every one of us makes a difference. And if we do our best, that's all that can be expected.

Change comes slowly to us stupid humans.

5. If I make a difference that doesn't matter, does it matter?
I'm going through an existential crisis here.

And why didn't I get a smilie hug?

7. You are roughly 1 / 7,000,000,000th of the human population
No, you don't actually matter.

8. No.
Really insightful and famous dude said something about being the change you wish to see. I couldn't possibly consider your rationale as a vegan.
