Greed is like a Virus.

It spreads throughout society. It is something our country, and perhaps the world, have much in abundance. The desire for more and more wealth, and more and more power.

We see it manifested in the Big Banks and Wall Street but it is everywhere.

From the smallest to the largest corporation, they have to make more this year than they did last year or they have failed. Every year has to be greater than the last. Two to three-percent growth has become an embarrassment to businesses. In their quest for more and more for the stockholders, many have forgotten their employees. No problem if they don't get any raises for two or three years.

The pursuit of wealth, greed, has infected our entire society. Therefore many businesses want to sock it to their customers, in a test to see what the market will bear? They want more and more. There is never enough.

The worst thing about greed it that it can never be satisfied so it just keeps growing.
