Man finds razor blade in chicken wrap he bought at Sonic
OLATHE, KAN - According to their menu, the Sonic Chicken Wrap comes with grilled chicken breast, fresh lettuce and ranch dressing. But one metro customer says that he got an additional, unwelcome ingredient with his wrap, and now he says that he is looking into hiring a lawyer.

Robert Borushko says that he found a tomato dicer blade when he bit into a Chicken Wrap purchased from a Sonic Drive-In at 119th Street in Olathe. He says that he was shocked when he took a bite and pulled a razor blade out of his mouth.

"I thought I broke a tooth at first because when I bit down, it was hard," said Borushko. "It's about one inch, I put it up against a ruler."

Sonic's corporate office sent FOX 4 a statement saying that a very small piece of a blade of a tomato dicer broke off, and that they have apologized to the customer and offered Borushko $200 for the inconvenience.

3. Always liked Sonic and they did the right thing here
The guy could still sue but they didn't try to stonewall the situation.

Besides, they contribute pretty heavily to Democratic party candidates.

4. Well then. Their contribution history certainly trumps their lack of
quality control

6. I think the going rate for finding a metal blade in a sandwich should be more than $200.
That's just me.

14. A larger payment might incentivize them to maintain their equipment better.

9. Whatever happened to accepting the apology and moving on with
your life? He needs to take the $200 and leaev it at that. This type of lawsuit (if filed) minimizes the real consumer complaints and worker safety claims that get overlooked or buried by corporations everyday. He needs to be happy that he didn't get hurt and be tahnkful that they offered him more than an apology.

11. And I'm sure that if he successfully pursues a lawsuit they will wish
they had offered more than $200.

12. A Similar Thing Happened to Me
A few years ago, I found curly metal shard from a tomato sauce can in my pizza. Fortuately, I hadn't bitten into it.

I showed the manager, who was mortified. I could tell by his expression he was scared shitless that I would sue or something.

He offered me beer. I accepted. Case closed.

13. The only damages appear to be emotional
Since he wasn't hurt, I don't see why this should be allowed in court.
