But am going to a couple of countries currently being covered by that lovely ash cloud. Sigh. I've been looking forward to the trip for awhile.

4. Early in the growing season....
not good.

Oh and this will reach North America by next week.... it is NOW in the jet-stream.

Krakatoa comes to mind. Flights will be the least of problems.

7. Next week West Coast, the direction it is traveling will cover China first
two weeks from now the whole Northern Hemisphere, and it depends on how much damage it does as to how much it is spewed and how long it takes to fall from the stratosphere.
