Wow Morning Joe actually stated some facts this morning

in response to a CBS poll of tea baggers of whom 6% blame Bush for the the deficits and 24% blame Obama (I think 37% blame Democrats)

Scarborough said that the poll was "laughable"

Paraphrased- "George Bush came into office with a $155 billion suprlus and created a $1.5 trillion deficit (isn't that the deficit the tea baggers talk so much about?) he doubled the national debt from $5.5 trillion to $11.8 trillion (isn't that the deficit....)"

Amazing. Joe prefaced it with "I want some of that tea!!"

However, Joe vastly VASTLY overstates his own supposed "opposition" to W's spending during those eight years.


Even Mika got a kudos from me this morning when Joe was bitching about the deficit, and she said "Ok, what would you cut?" When Joe and Mort went off on "torte reform" (lol), Mika said "I'm looking at different numbers than you are on how much that amounts to.." Of course, that was the end of it, but it was still something.
