Romney: I'll Take Credit for Obamacare
NRO ^ | Apr. 14, 2010 | Rich Lowry

How Romney handles the health-care issue going forward will be a ticklish challenge. I'm pretty sure, though, that this is not the way to do it. From the Sunday New York Times:

He added, “If ever again somewhere down the road I would be debating him, I would be happy to take credit for his accomplishment.”

The responses:

Lord help us if this clown gets the nomination.

Romney: I'll Take Credit for Obamacare

I will work tirelessly to make sure this ObamaClone never gets the nomination.

He has just made up my mind for me.

He’s too dumb to realize he just hammered the final nail in any remote hope of a presidential run.

RomneyCare is a disaster and so is barryCare.

Romney is more than liberal, he really devoid of reality.

Romney’s running against McCain for the title of King of the RINOs. Let’s see who can be the bigger backstabbing socialist republican.

If he does I am sitting out the election. I held my nose for McCain but that's the last time for me. The RNC can go F'themselves.

Willard Myth Romney as GOP nominee would snatch defeat
from the jaws of victory!

He can try to have it both ways... but if Obama starts praising Romney that will be the kiss of death for Romney(probably will do) .

Maybe Romney can take credit for the Stupak Obama-care taxpayer-paid abortions too :)

3. He did call it an "accomplishment" and the FReepers aren't smart enough to understand...
that the simple meaning is "Political Victory" not "A Victory for Socialism". They're that ignorant and calcified.

6. Further proof
of my contention that even the reich wing intensely dislikes Mittens. Yes, the Freepers don't represent all who vote Repuke, but the fundies have been given the word: Don't vote for Willard, and the Mormon missionaries will have one less talking point when trying to pinch sheep from your flock.

7. That's right! Your only alternative is to start a new party.
Break off from those traitorous Republicans and start a serious Tea Party. Or join the Libertarian Party. But the Republicans have lied to you, so whatever you do, don't vote for them.

Seriously, how many do you think will realize that the Republicans have been playing them like a fiddle for years? It would be such a refreshing change in DC politics if politicians actually argued bills and provisions on their merits.
