*A* hundred becomes a thousand.

*A* few score becomes hundreds.

*A* handful becomes scores.

*A* few will certainly get interviewed for a segment on Tea Party protests 'across the nation' and featured on local and national news channels.

COUNT on it.

WHO is telling these 'news' networks to keep the focus on this group AND to grossly exaggerate their numbers?

4. Local radio (Fox affiliate) was really "reporting" on the event held here yesterday

Nice long intros about what the Tea Party "stands for" and who all was there (Allan Keyes?) and a different soundbite at each break. Of course, they'd been promoting the event for weeks as if it was news, plus ads featuring Ray Charles' version of "America". I'm sure Ray was spinning in his grave about that one.

5. CNN was interviewing two tea partiers
One was black and the other white and there was no opposition. They just kept talking up the numbers.

The black guy says, "I have been to numerous events and I haven't seen any racism"! What a pathetic liar. I wonder how much he is getting paid/

7.  They cant' tell the truth then
they would have to reveal all the lies they have already told. It makes better cover to say you showed up for 10's of thousands instead of 10's of hundreds now don't it....
