Dobson admits that he reads the Bible from a hateful perspective
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18473074/

Hate crimes under current federal law apply to acts of violence against individuals on the basis of race, religion, color, or national origin. Federal prosecutors have jurisdiction only if the victim is engaged in a specific federally protected activity such as voting.

The House bill would extend the hate crimes category to include sexual orientation, gender, gender identity or disability and give federal authorities greater leeway to participate in hate crimes investigations.

But Dr. James C. Dobson, founder of Focus on the Family, warned that the true intent of the bill was “to muzzle people of faith who dare to express their moral and biblical concerns about homosexuality.” If you read the Bible in a certain way, he told his broadcast listeners, “you may be guilty of committing a ’thought crime.”

"What developed next is impossible to describe. That tiny dog and I had the most vicious fight ever staged between man and beast. I fought him up one wall and down the other, with both of us scratching and clawing and growling and swinging the belt. I am embarrassed by the memory of the entire scene. Inch by inch I moved him toward the family room and his bed. As a final desperate maneuver, Siggie backed into the corner for one last snarling stand. I eventually got him to bed, only because I outweighed him 200 to 12!"

4. Yep, dobson's admitting practicing hate speech against gays
and if his speech incites one of the fucking morons who listens to him to harm a gay, so be it, dobson isn't responsible for anything. Not being responsible for anything is a christian conservative value, right up there with hating in the name of Jesus Christ.

7. The Seventh Commandment
Thou shalt not take the name of the LORD thy God in vain; for the LORD will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

As chldren, we were taught that the seventh commandment meant not to invoke the name of God out loud, especially as a curse, ie: "God Damnit".

I disagree. I believe the true intent of the seventh commandment is that one should not impersonate God. One should not claim that his/her words are God's words. When some flim flammer like Dobson comes along and says: "God spoke to me and this is his message.", he's breaking the seventh commandment.

Of course, these days I'm agnostic but still, that's what I think. :)

Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.Matthew 5:27&28

"I never knew you..." Jesus Christ according to the bible-

10. I thought that only God could "smote" the ungodly. Dobson is overreaching
under biblical law. (And no, God didn't delegate to James Dobson.)
