Surely the pension values were at their highest before the bubble burst at which point eh DOW was considerably higher. Surely ? :shrug:

4. Nothing odd about it. Your approach is odd, though.

Obama took office January 20, 2009. Since then, the DOW has increased in value by 2000 points, or about 20%. That's a substantial improvement to the value of port folios, including retirement accounts.

If you've seen the market drop from 14k to 8k under Bush, watching it rise back to 11k under Obama should be a pleasant reversal of the losses suffered under Bush.

How can you not see that?
