A virus spreading on face book now!

here is a virus spreading like wildfire on FB. Do not accept anything from any of your friends that ask you to watch a video on YouTUBE titled “Barrack Obama-Hillary Clinton Scandal”. DO NOT OPEN THE LINK!! SNOPES has confirmed it as a Trojan Worm called “KOOBFACE”. It will steal info, infest your system and eventually shut it down. Please repost this in your status

2. This kind of thing has been going around FB for some time.

This Obama-Hillary hook is just a new attempt to snare people. It could be named anything and still be a threat. The main thing is not to open anything that doesn't have a personal message attached. Something that lets you know a friend really sent it and it was meant for you.
When in doubt you can email the friend to see if it is legit. Usually if it's a Youtube vid attached properly to their wall and shows up on the news feed, the thumbnail is displayed. These I believe are safe. The worm links would't display like that.

Nasty bit of trouble, but I think we have it whipped. Was away from home right afterward and just after the computer started getting difficult. Not a nice thing to come home to and have to fix when I was just exhausted, but I really don't blame anyone but me. I did the click, and the Passover 'card' was amazingly lame to boot.

I'm OK, but a friend of mine had a finger failure, accidentally opening it when she meant to click "Delete", and now her computer is repeatedly shutting down. It gives her the message that she must replace her hard drive. Is there something that will rescue an infected computer?

Tell her to go to her control panel and press add/remove programs.Then tell her to look for something suspicious or unwanted (I don't and didn't have the virus, It is just a suggestion).
