5. So posting a lie......can't they be sued.
I think it is about time the democrats start to call these lying you know what's on what they post. It is a shame they don't have a platform to post the truth. The dems are slurred and slamed and flamed all over the cable, network and newspapers and nothing is done.

Look at cheney saying the side with the terrorist. Look at the stuff Fox and republican congressmen accuse them of. SOMETHING HAS GOT TO BE DONE AND NOW.

7. ....I have no problem believing that these aides said this, or that the withdrawal language is likel

The post story does seem to jump the gun regarding the inevitable end of the bill.

.......I have no problem believing that these aides said this, or that the withdrawal language is likely to be taken out in the end. But the question remains: If this offer hasn't actually been made yet, why is WaPo saying it has been? It's one thing for the aides to be saying that the language will have to go; it's another to say even before the negotiations have started that the concession has already been offered to the White House. If what the Pelosi and Reid aides are telling me is true, isn't WaPo jumping the gun in saying Dems have already caved in advance of the negotiations?

This all gives rise to a bigger question: Why is much of the media's coverage of this focussed on the Democratic dilemma the veto creates, while so little of it is focussed on the fact that Republicans, too, are in a bind, are trapped between public opinion and their unyielding President, and are going to have to make concessions towards a compromise?

9. The WaPo has continually been saying the Dems are bending over for Bush
For the entire month of April a day didn't go by without the WaPo saying the Dems are wimps piddling on the carpet in fear of the great and mighty GOP.

13. WashPost is and always has been a rock-solid organ of disinformation
It is part of the Washington power structure. It is in the business of making money, and it makes its money by telling stories to sound a certain way, inventing them if need be (yes even dear old Deep Throat was a made-up conflation of informants). Sometimes the Post goes too far weaving its tales and sometimes it gets caught. Just ask Janet Cooke.

I've had enough of the left suiting up and not being put in the game.

I want Bush bruised and bloody from a poltical trouncing...and reluctantly signing the end of the war into law....or else impeachment. No compromise. And he can take his cadre of Republican crmies with him.

15. Woolsey also said it was bullshit.
But she didn't use the word bullshit.

She's the most honest person in Congress, so you know it's true.
