How about Sheldon Whitehouse for the SC?
He's smart. He's a liberal. He's a former prosecutor. He's not too old. He'd be more difficult for the pukes to object to and filibuster (maybe). He'd bring a different perspective than someone from the bench.

What do you say?

16. I wish he was my Senator.
But he is right next door, in Rhode Island. I am stuck with Lieberman and Dodd has been not so great lately, but we should have another good Senator with Blumenthal (another AG, like Whitehouse).

12. yes, even though there's a smaller pool of justices, and Whitehouse is a true lib
it's prob not a good move for America as a whole, when there's got to be someone out there who's not in the Senate with his liberal priorities. Although, with Obama picking from the pool of ten, and some of them being questionable, I hope he really does this nation right and picks the most liberal of the bunch - force the GOP to embarrass themselves by trying to hold up a qualified nominee. We can march around with "GOP - Grand Obstructionist Party", and "GOP - The Party of NO"

How they are a blight on this country!

17. He is rather distantly related to Rockefellers from what I can tell. Besides, what difference does
it make. Their have been some very good and some very bad Rockefellers. Whitehouse if one of the good guys.

your definition of "rather distant" must be different from mine.

21. How 'bout we don't take anymore Dem Senators out of the Senate?
Since it seems there are no more "safe" seats in the Senate
