Has Mooselini "Crossed" A Line???
Edited on Fri Apr-09-10 10:23 AM by KharmaTrain
I couldn't help notice that the former governor of Alaska took to the stage in a major political rally wearing a large crucifix.

I'm curious if anyone can recall a prominant political figure who wore a religious item at a major political rally

My guess is she stole the outfit from the wardrobe department of from her upcoming movie "Desperately Seeking Suckers". She likes them free clothes, you betcha!

Her zombie-followers would love it.

6. This Jesus crap is beyond ridiculous.
If Jesus was running for office, they would burn him in effigy. Please, a long-haired hippy talking about taking from the rich and giving to the poor? After all, that is socialism.

That whore makes me sick. If reincarnation exists, I hope to hell she comes back as a wolf in Alaska.

7. The thing to remember is, There is no line.
There is no line she can cross. We've given her complete carte blanche to do and say whatever she wants, anytime she wants.

11. All I know is....
If the public ever votes this ditz into national office I want the ramifications of her term in office stamped directly onto McCain's personal history.

If it hadn't been for the "maverick" cravenly caving in to the religious right Palin would have remained a footnote in Alaskan politics and that's it.

12. As an Agnostic, speaking for myself only, I don't see an issue.
If a Jewish politician wants to wear a necklace with the Star of David, that is fine. If I want to wear a Darwin Fish pin and a Flying Spaghetti Monster charm on a necklace while running for office, I can't be offended by her wearing the cross. I think her personal motivations are questionable, but she can wear it all she wants, regardless of how I feel about her questionable fashion sense (long necklaces and a pin... not so much.)

However, for her to be intellectually honest, she really needs to wrap a big 'ole American flag around that cross.

The real horror is seeing these two in a picture together. Talk about an Intergalactic Black Hole of Intelligence. I bet those two together really sucked the oxygen out of the room. :scared:

17. Well,
I do have a problem with office-holders - or candidates - who believe in fairy tales. I long for the day that religious belief is negative, not a positive, in politics - as it is in most Europeans countries.

14. is it a crucifix or just a cross?
I can't tell from the picture, but it looks to me like a cross. Still a religious symbol, of course--I'm just clarifying.

22. The thing about that cross is this
the most unchristian people always push "their" so called religious views out front. The more evil they are the more they cover them selves with religious icons.
