Bank Foreclosing On Presidential Park - Six busts of presidents were disassembled and removed - pics

Giant busts of Abraham Lincoln and John F. Kennedy , made by artist David Adickes, are hauled away Tuesday, April 6, 2010, in Presidential Park, Pearland, Texas where six busts of presidents were removed because the land they were placed on is under foreclosure. The development company who owns the statues is return the statues to Adickes.

PEARLAND, Texas -- A park designed to honor U.S. presidents is being taken apart before it was ever completed, KPRC Local 2 reported Tuesday.

A bank is set to foreclose on the land set aside for the Presidential Park and Gardens at the Waterlights District on state Highway 288 near Pearland.

The park, which featured gigantic busts of presidents, was supposed to open in 2009, but the developer said it was delayed because of the recession. A few of the busts were in place

gotta be a public park in houston that needs some art. otherwise, truck em up to seattle and we'll put up in fremont next to the salvaged lenin statue!
