I'm currently working on a piece on the Wake County Public School
District and last year's election take over of the system by the tea party movement. It feels strange doing the piece and showing the partisanship behind the takeover while at the same time, realizing the Obama administration is basically in tune with what the tea partiers are doing to the system with what they are doing to public education. How did this administration get so conservative to this point?

1. I see they won a TAP award for one of the Elementaries
Do you know anything about this? I don't know much about TAP awards. Is this due to policies of the past or is it because of the switch?

5. The new board hasn't implemented their changes yet.
The Wake School System has been nationally reknown for many things including its magnet programs and diversity policy.

9. It is not ideologically in tune with their beliefs.
I did notice in the newspaper today that they are changing some of their rhetoric. Tedesco said they are going to change a good system into a great one. They used to say the system didn't work but I guess they got called on that too much.

3. Read Madfloridian journals. She does an excellant job of explaining
and analyizing how Arne and Obama are in tune with the Repugs when it comes to education policy

4. read the fucking ESEA reauthorization--it is what is in the proposed law.
I don't think Madfloridian works for the USED, or maybe so but I don't think so.

8. I have read lots of the blueprint. But since she speaks of the problems
of the blueprint and its issue,I can only think you have have read her journals. Also there is no need to be nasty on a discussion board.
