Hutaree anger stoked by phony baloney email
Another idiot LOSES because she was too lazy to use the Web that delivered her email to fact check the email.

"HUGHH111 URGENT!!! Tina Stone is dumber than dryer lint! SEND THIS TO EVERYONE YOU KNOW!!!!!"
A member of the Hutaree militia charged with federal crimes was upset because she thought that President Barack Obama had signed into law this month a bill that would spend $20 billion to help the terrorist group Hamas settle in the U.S.

There was never any such legislation, but Tina Stone believed it was the truth, according to her Facebook account.

"H.B. 1388 Passed.... It's bad news for us all," Tina Kelley, her maiden name, said on her Facebook page on March 19.

She then said in an update:

"I'm peeved,,, when people in this country is getting kicked out of there homes everyday and our government passes a bill to spend more then 20 billion dollars to bring Hamas here and supplies them with food and homes that just wrong."...

3. Don't worry; Tina Stone will be all right
See, she's got this line on a commission for helping a former Nigerian minister move some money out of his country. She sent an initial payment of $542 to him to establish her bona fides, and the transfer will take place in the next 5-7 business days. What that Nigerian sap doesn't know is that Tina's gonna close the account the second the money hits. Shrewd, huh?

Of course, they *could* have read the damn bill.

Or downloaded the bill and used "search."

But you can't trust factcheck.org because it has the word "fact" in it, and only Liberals live in the fact-based community.

21. There are a couple of variations of it on Snopes.com
http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/palestinians.asp

http://www.snopes.com/politics/obama/give.asp

My Dad sent me this one a while back and I hooked him up to Snopes.com - and sent my response to "Reply All" which embarrassed him with some of his friends. Now he checks most of the crap he gets and forwards a lot fewer of them. I haven't completely changed his beliefs but at least he's doing some fact checking.

26. I am not thinking that their "world" is based much in reality anyway
I mean, a lot of their beliefs are out of touch with reality, so I'm not thinking that doing some internet research before acting on their fantasies would be something they like to do.

Their photos were scary, and their ideas/perceptions of the world are scary. I am flat out glad the government nailed them before someone got killed.

14. Other things Tina Stone believes:
--if she forwards the message about poor little "Jessica Mydek" who is dying from cancer, the American Cancer Society will donate 3 cents to itself for every copy she forwards

--Applebee's is giving away $50 gift certificates for every email she forwards

--The Internet is undergoing its annual spring cleaning tomorrow, so she needs to disconnect her computer from it for the day

--Her bank account has large problem, is to be closing unless she should visit right away their Web site location and give them number of her account and of Social Security number also to confirm she is herself. Also her credit card too!! Please do not delay!!

--Brad Pitt just died from falling off a cliff

--Someone is creating "bonsai kittens"

this Astroturf email stuff is more like throwing a match at a leaking gas main on a crowded city street.

It's not going to be stopped until these bastards get a high profile government person killed.

...known as Hamas, to resettle in the United States, was signed on January 27th and appeared in the FEDERAL REGISTER.

The Federal Register should be VERY IMPORTANT TO ALL YOU SHEEP OUT THERE who vote. Because THAT'S the book you SHOULD READ.

(pauses to glare)

*I* have the time to read it... and I work... and I work. I take the time to read this book because these are the laws you and me are gonna have to live by. These are gonna be the nooses when they tie it around your neck.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FEWIXHh3tC4

Commenters let him know it's not in the Federal Register and now he's a little... sheepish.

29. Even by stupid-lies-about-the-bill standards that's pretty goddamned stupid
That actually dethrones my "favorite" claim that the bill mandates microchipping of US citizens (and only US citizens) to prevent them from receiving health care.
