I've noticed a pattern with these so-called "Czars"...
whenever there is a serious issue of important national concern that the administration has absolutely no intention of doing anything about(and of course this issue came about because of their negligence and corruption), they appoint a "Czar" to oversee it.

If it's a REALLY REALLY REALLY serious issue, then they appoint a "bipartisan" commission to look into it.

5. It's a matter of insulation...
Serious issues have the potential for serious criticism when they are mishandled. It's a matter of modern business practice to build a "fall-guy" into the system.

The title Czar does NOT indicate power to make decisions, rather it's about the darker side of the Czar analogy. The Czar is someone available to be taken down the basement and shot.

6. An economy Czar will be needed to shortly
to tell us how well we are doing with our GDP and that outsourcing is great for us! And, don't look at the US dollar! It's swell too! Lots-o-jobs are being created every month! (mostly minimum wage positions) Yep, it's all just swell.

7. I think the big problem is the overuse of the term "czar"
perhaps instead of the Russian term, they could simply start using the old Persian title for the same thing.

"War Shah of Iraq/n" has a certain ring to it. Kinda catchy.
