In 2000 they told us: You lost the election, get over it.
So, to the whining Republicans - Cantor, McGramps, Quitterella, McConnell, Orangina, etc.: You lost the election, get over it.

2. They told us that in 2004, too...
That was a kick to the gut in every way. A lot of us hurt for days afterwards and it was horrible blow to overcome. We didn't break windows and we didn't make threats.

We got up off the ground, brushed ourselves off, sucked it up, and got it together. I'm damn proud of that.

14. Try months, we hurt for months. Because of what we had already endured!
And where were all these patriots when the Constitution and the Bill of Rights was shredded under *? And all these rethug "Christians" who think it's okay for a family to go broke because their kid has cancer? And for THIS they want violence against politicians and progressives? It truly boggles my mind and I will never understand this way of thinking.

27. Oh, without a doubt. They say crap like that a lot. With no evidence they are correct.
I remember Phil Gramm on the Senate floor in the debate over Clarence Thomas' confirmation saying this was an attempt by a party that would not see the White House again in any of our lifetimes to embarrass the President. Clinton booted Bush out the very next year.

8. My contention is that the MSM keeps giving these losers a platform to whine!
I mean: I was on the treadmill at the gym on Wednesday, and the on the screen in front of me KKKarl Rove was being interviewed about his lying screed. Bad enough that I had to crane my neck unnaturally to look away from his piggy self, but even worse: it was bloody MSNBC!!!! WTF???

Not to mention all the appearances by John "you kids get off my lawn" McCain on Today, et al. It's really pissing me off.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't remember the "liberal" media rushing off to interview Al Gore or John Kerry when their elections were stolen--oops, I mean, when W became (p)Resident. Fuckin' corporate propaganda with their blatant double standards. I'm old enough to remember Radio Free Europe--do we need Radio Free America in order to get the real news???

17. I don't know whether the worst
of the media (i.e. Fox) are the Republicans' paid whores, or whether the media are the controlling pimps of the Republicans. Both are a disastrous blight on this country. And I have a lot more respect for whores than I do for either Fox or the Republicans.

Lets also not forget how they won it. By using the supreme court five in a way not recognized by the constitution.
They then tried to wipe their hands of this obviously partisan ruling saying it should not be used for precedent. Everything the supreme court judges on is precedent. It was just a blatant example of power consolidation involving the supremes and the party that put them in. Gave them 8 years to fuck up the parts of the country that survived Reagan and Bush 1. We had just produceed a surplus which could have been used for anything except another tax break for the rich, but Bush and Cheney did that with 50 republicn votes plus the senate president tie breaker. After that we have a lot of gaul apparently to do the same thing for the poor, especially after we are voting on a bill that did get a filibuster beating 60 votes.

This fight is not over, but it might be going our way now. Basically it is the executive and legislative against the supreme court 5 for now.

21. actually they didn't win
They didn't win the popular vote and they didn't win the electoral vote. They were chosen by the Supremes. And, two of those supremes should have recused themselves since their family was involved with *'s campaign. Now would that be called a coup?

19. Even though we had actually won it
That was what we were having trouble getting over -- that the GOP, aided by the Supreme Court, had managed to steal the White House.

This time around, our victory was clear and undeniable.
