OK, Who's Rooting For JD Hayworth At This Point?
I know I am. I'd like to see McCain go down in flames. He needs to lose his Senate job, number one. And, number two, Palin needs to suffer another defeat in trying to help someone win an election.

And third - wouldn't the D candidate have a better chance against Hayworth in the midterm than they'd have against Gramps?

1. I am leaning that way, yes.
Since either one of them will vote no on everything, what's the difference?

27. The Difference
Hayworth is the devil we know and we can use that to our advantage since he is such a wack job. McCain keeps pretending he's a statesman and keeps getting the media spotlight. We need this loose cannon out. It will also break-up the McCain-Lieberman-Graham triumvirate and teach the other two a lesson. Plus, on a purely emotional level McCain deserves a smack down and to lose the privileged position he's had all his life.

3. I want to see Palinism defeated so
I'm holding my nose and saying yes, I want JD to win even though he's a big fucking moran with maybe two brain cells. On second thought, that's too generous: one brain cell his momma keeps in a lock box for emergencies.

24. My point is who would make it easier for the
Democrat to win? If that is even a possibility.

I don't like McCain and don't want to let Palin feel this is a victory.

On the other hand, I don't really want a Tea Bagger to win an election.

So I'm not sure which is worse at this point.

and will the Dem nominee get elected?

13. Dem candidate?
I can't think of a Dem candidate at this point -- and if I can't name him, I guess that's bad because I usually pay attention. The only hope the Dems have of winning this seat is for the primary loser to run as a 3rd party and split the wingnut vote, i.e., Naderize the Republican.

12. No, I honestly think a Democrat would do better against Gramps
He's old, he's tired, they're sick of him. Hayworth represents new blood to a lot of GOPs there and might energize them, especially if they have forgotten why they threw him out of the House.

They'd have to dig up a bloodthirsty Democrat who'd go for Hayworth's throat on the corruption issue and I doubt there is one in the whole state.

25. I agree
I think we are underestimating them, they wont vote for a Dem no matter how crazy the Republican is.....and Hayworth is batshit crazy! I think we're best off with McCain-v-Dem

14. I'm tired of this bitter old emotional cripple
Tired of seeing his lumpy face on TV, tired of hearing his lame pandering to people who believe he's just a sellout, tired of him standing there behind palin grinning like a horny old warethog.

Hayworth is an asshole but he's not any worse than what the embittered McCain has turned into.

Fuckin sore loser he needs to just go off and die somewhere.

18. And after 20+ years, the old troll will be leaving WITHOUT his dignity
Really, Mcshame? You invite Failin Palin to campaign for you knowing everything she has done in the past two years since you forced her into our lives?

All I can do is shake my head. At one time McCain was considered a respectable republican. What happened? He showed how he would toss all of his principles and values down the drain for a win. Hell, maybe he was never sincere to begin with... Either way, good riddance. I look forward to Mcshame's defeat in the primaries and JD's defeat in November.

19. Cindy McCain has got to be seething inside
I wonder how much of her $$$ it's costing her to have that soulless cretin stump for her husband when we all know that she would be just as happy to be out there for Hayworth if the money was right.

26. Actually, I would assume the deal is that he will endorse her when she runs in 2012
She needs him to lie about how there wasn't really any rift between her and the McCain staffers and that she didn't really "go rogue" or whatever.

I'd rather them send an inexperienced senator to try and debate on the senate floor. An easily de-bunkable lightweight.
