NOTE: Neugebauer's name is misspelled in the Crooks & Liars article below. I didn't make any corrections.

'Baby Killer' Shouted at Stupak During Health Care Debate
By Heather Monday Mar 22, 2010 1:00pm

From The Hill -- 'Baby killer' shout aimed at Stupak:

A House Republican shouted "baby killer" at Rep. Bart Stupak on the House floor during the brief debate of the Republican motion against the reconciliation bill.

The member could not immediately be identified. A number of Democrats shouted back "Who was that?" but to no avail.

Stupak, a leader of the anti-abortion Democrats, was speaking in opposition of the Republican motion to recommit the reconciliation bill. The Republican motion was Stupak's abortion restriction language.

When Stupak began speaking against the motion, a number of Republicans shouted "It's your bill!" Those remarks drew laughs from the GOP side of the aisle.

But a loud groan erupted when the phrase "baby killer" slipped off the lips of a Republican member with what sounded to a number of reporters like a southern accent. Read on...

UPDATE: (Nicole): It appears the guilty party is Rep. Randy Neugeberger, who blames the heat and emotion of the moment and claims to have apologized to Rep. Stupak for this breach of decorum. Neugeberer is one of the 11 "birther" Republicans who co-sponsored a bill saying presidents must "prove" the location of their birth. Curiously, when asked to furnish his own birth certificate to the staff at ThinkProgress in a show of consistency, Neugeberger tersely declined.

Why didn't he?

Dumbass.

And, by the way, HE'S the baby killer, denying health care to children already born. But I guess it's everyone for themselves once they slide down that ol' birth canal...

PROTECT THE ZYGOTE AT ANY COST!!!

Double dumbass...

2. You are so correct.
Once you are a fully formed and born human, they don't give a rat's hind-end about you.

5. Best response is to learn about his past which may indicate why
he now needs to defend his position so vehemently. Such excess may be cover for something not in keeping with his current political positions. Then again, it might just be stupidity.

6. Apologized after being identified.

What would happen to me if I robbed a bank and then said "woops, sorry about that" ?

Never mind. I already know.

7. I wish people would have more respect for the Tea Party's 2012 Presidential Platform
You will be hearing "Socialist", "Hitler", "Fascist", "baby killer", "granny killer", and much more for at least a year. Get used to it.

8. Stupak is playing with fire
He's trying to score political points with pro-life activists who believe his lies about this bill leading to public funding of abortions and effectively trying to make sure NO insurance provider will provide abortions, life-saving or otherwise, but then he failed to kill the bill and now they're going to be pissed. There go all his political points, and he'll be lucky if one of those crazy %%%%ers don't shoot him.
