Mr Speaker I have a question......
If this bill can easily be repealed as the GOP claim, and will doom the Democrats in November...Why are the GOP still obstructing?

1. They're whistling Dixie past the graveyard.
It's all they have left on this bill.

2. Good question
I wonder if they might be afraid that it just might work and doom their moronic obstructionist asses to years of obscurity?

Fuck the GOP and everyone that even considers them as an option.

6. Yanno I always heard
If your enemy is shooting themselves in the foot, you don't try to prevent it, you stand aside.

Why aren't they standing aside?

If you read their statements carefully, and read between the lines.

I have talked to a lot of Republicans in the last year. Many did not vote for McCain/Palin, as they thought that Palin was a ditz. Instead, they voted for Obama.

So why did those in control of the Republican party put Palin on that ticket? It appears (to me anyway) that those at the very top of the Repugs arranged for Palin on that ticket to help Obama get elected.

And now there are occasional references on TV by the Big Talking heads that Palin HAS TO BE ON THE TICKET AGAIN IN 2012, as the Dems are so scared of her. Does that make sense? I guess in some convoluted way - "Hey there, Mr & Mrs. Average Republican, we know you don't like Sarah. But Psst - the Dems are scared of her, so she has to run..."

I think at the higher level, we Americans are seen as being fear motivated. So they have these RW Tea Baggers given carte blanche by the media. Let two hundred of them assemble, and C Span will carry it all day long, although when we rallied against the Iraqi war, we were lucky if we got fifteen minutes of attention in a week.

On edit: So maybe they figure that they need to help the Health Care bill passed, using these scary Tea Baggers to induce us all to support the bill. After all, the Helath Insurers butter both the media and the upper elements of the Repugnanat Party just as much as they butter the Democrats' campaign coffers.
