6. I was at a dinner where he spoke to college-bound kids...
He said when he told his father he wanted to run for Congress, his father said 'Why don't you run for Alderman instead?'

He ran for Congress & (obviously) won. His message to the kids was:

'Don't let the naysayers get you down.'

I was hoping he could've ran for Sen. Obama's seat, but then he got embroiled in the whole Blago fiasco.

I hope he'll be able to redeem himself. He seems like a good guy.

he is gonna be a great senator some day. unfortunately that might be in 6 years when he beats the accidental illinois senator mark kirk. alexi gianoulis, imho, cannot win.
