I guess when I traveled to the NJ headquarters, and them seeing that what they do up there in a month I can finish in a week turned them around !

It is a small startup , I am lucky they accepted to go that route .....

My ancestors came here mostly in the early 1900's and made a pretty good life here in the U.S.

I hope you will have a good life here in the U.S. too!

P.S. And your politics might even still influence your children and grandchildren. My grandpa came from Sweden and was pretty much a socialist looking back on it. He always told us, "share and share alike" and did his best to look out for the poorer farmers around him. And always voted Democratic.

My husband jokes that I inherited those socialist Swedish genes, LOL. :)

My Swedish grandpa didn't have a great life exactly (he was mostly poor) but he didn't face that prejudice at least. I wish no one ever had to face that.

He did get sent to the fields after the 2nd grade though to work the family farm and never did get any more education than that, plus he was starving during the depression when the wheat prices collapsed. Luckily he got a job through one of FDR's programs, to work on the Hungry Horse dam in Montana. That saved him and my mother and Aunts and Uncles from ruin.
