Have you noticed? These folks love their Creationist bibles and curse the name of Darwin...
...but when it comes to health care,

they curse the poor,

spit on the sick,

turn their back on Jesus' teachings of mercy and love,

and say "Survival of the Fittest."

1. I've noticed. They're all social Darwinists who reject Darwinism.
These are very twisted people.

5. What a delimma they must have if their houses ever burned down....
and they could only bring out two things. Imagine the quandry that they must have to face, trying to decide whether to grab their book of fairy tales or their loaded gun and leave the family pets or the children behind.

7. That point hits me more more than anything these last ten years or so.

They do like survival of the fittest when it suits their selfish motives. It's just so crazily upside down that the people who claim Christianity for themselves are the most selfish, hate-mongering people in the country. It just blows my mind that they can't see their own hypocrisy. Jesus taught generosity beyond what we, today, even consider reasonable. He didn't ask anyone before he helped them whether they had looked for a job hard enough first, or whether they were a legal citizen in of the country. He didn't ask them their sexual preference or race. He didn't judge first, he helped the prostitutes and he gave the thief his cloak when he caught him stealing his coat. Jesus is probably weeping as he watches them. Rightwing Christians are the modern day Pharisees. They would crucify Jesus all over again if he returned today.

8. Sounds like . . .
. . . the New New Jersey.

Like I have heralded ad nauseum, they love the vengeful God of Abraham and revile the Gospels. Some Christians.

9. Lack of critical thinking. Lack of intelligent honesty.
I was taught, and then taught my son, to at least try to put your feet in the shoes of others'. It's amazing how your preconceptions can change once you do that, or how idiotic you can be if you don't.

10. HUGE evening K & R!
I wish that all could fit on a bumper sticker. May have to make a T-shirt!
