Tea Party / "Kill the Bill" Pics - Thread 2
Edited on Sat Mar-20-10 08:15 PM by Kadie

Supporters of the Tea Party movement demonstrate outside the US Capitol in Washington, DC, on March 20, 2010 against the healthcare bill which is expected to be voted on March 21. US President Barack Obama looked to energize his Democratic allies with an in-person appeal for his historic health care overhaul on the eve of a cliffhanger vote on the sweeping legislation.

Protesters are pictured in the area where U.S. President Barack Obama will meet with members of the House Democratic Caucus to discuss the health care package in the Capitol Visitors Center Auditorium on Capitol Hill in Washington, March 20, 2010.

20. This brings to mind a quote from Frank Zappa:
"Hey you know something people? I'm not black but there's a whole lot of times I wish I could say I'm not white."

4. Most of those people have either not been to their doctor in some time or have
routinely ignored their doctors' advice. I will leave that open to interpretation.

12. Ignored doctor's advice like "Exercise"
By the way, doctors don't give this advice anymore.

It's useless.

5. If health care is socialist, why aren't tea-baggers protesting public schools
How can someone realistically be opposed to tax funded health care purely based on the assumption that it is SOCIALISM. By that very same logic, why aren't Tea-baggers protesting tax funded public schools, which is the public option for those who can't afford private schools? Is being healthy not as important as having an education?

6. Yes, true patriots always make funny hats with the American flag. And
pic #6 - the "patriot" with the scooter and crutches- will be the first in line for health care.

Idiot hypocrites.

9. I love how the mama with the babies in the strollers has the signs
lined up to read "Please don't kill the bill"... that mama's going to be so mad when she sees those pictures. It took me a few extra seconds to read it the "proper" way. The way it is, it looks pro health care.

17. these people ARE america
the stinking innards of diseased generational ignorance forged in the parking lots of wal mart, the strip center lined streets of anytown, USA.

drive through MO, OK, TX, IL, etc., etc., get off the interstate and take secondary roads.

this country is NOT uber-hip colonies in NYC, SF, L.A., or Chicago.

this country is virulent, in-your-face racism. it is genuine white fear and anger toward ANY LOSS of perceived prestige to a non-white person.

it is a.m. talk radio, it is the police state, it is the cowed acceptance and internalization of corporate propaganda. corporate propaganda pipelined into virtually every household through television, smart phones, video games, and other dissipation. programming is never questioned.

we deserve what we get.
