How low can CNN sink?
This POS from RedState.com is their newest political commentator?

He makes Glenn BecKKK seem respectable.

4. Here's a bit:
AlterNet / By Devona Walker

Erick Erickson Is the New CNN Go-to Bigot, Misogynist and Homophobe
This ain't no "post racial" age: CNN has hired a guy who is not just an apparent bigot, but a misogynist and avid homophobe.

March 17, 2010 |

In this quote, unquote “post racial” age, CNN has hired a guy who is not just an apparent bigot, but a misogynist and avid homophobe. Erick Erickson, the editor of redstate.com. will begin working at CNN as a political commentaor opposite John King on John King USA.

Guess the brass at CNN haven’t entirely recovered from their rabid racist withdrawals since Glenn Beck left went to Fox News. Those withdrawals probably worsened when Lou Dobbs quit a few months back.

They needed angry old white guy to fill out their lineup. After all, they do have plenty of minorities and women at the network. They wouldn’t want to let the teaparty continget to go unrepresented on the air.

This is not just an insulting move, but it’s also pretty damned stupid. The reality is the teabaggers and right wingers already have their network, it’s called Fox News. They are never going to accept anything other than “fantasy” as being objective news reporting. Even when CNN had Dobbs and Beck on the network, the right-wing still called them “tools of the liberal media.”

What CNN did have was some level of credibility among in terms of being objective in this increasingly partisan political climate. With Erickson, they can just throw that out the window. And they might as well just admit, they could care less about being a trusted news source. They simply are just pandering to the right wing, hoping they can pick up a few crumbs left behind by the boys at Fox News.

Some of Erickson’s claims:

Erickson claimed President Barack Obama won the Nobel Peace Prize because of “affirmative action quotas” (Think Progress, 10/9/09).

He suggested “feminazis were enraged” by an anti-abortion Super Bowl ad because “that’s what being too ugly to get a date does to your brain.”

He urged that “ugly feminists return to their kitchens” (Media Matters, 2/8/10).

He’s a homophobe who asserted that “the full gay rights agenda” means that “men and boys can have sexual relationships free of prudish moral people frowning” (Media Matters, 10/9/09). ..........more at http://www.alternet.org/media/146070/erick_erickson_is_the_new_cnn_go-to_bigot,_misogynist_and_homophobe

10. He kind of reminds me of Lowell Lee Andrews
You know, "The Nicest Boy in Kansas?"

On November 28, 1958, Thanksgiving holiday weekend, Andrews was at home with his parents, William and Opal, and his sister, Jennie Marie. His parents and sister were watching television in the living room. Lowell Lee was upstairs in his bedroom reading the last chapter of The Brothers Karamazov. When he finished reading the book, Lowell went in to the bathroom to shave, returned to his room, put on his best suit and then loaded both a semi-automatic .22-caliber rifle and a Ruger .22-caliber revolver. He holstered the revolver and carried the rifle to the darkened living room where his parents and sister were sitting illuminated only by the light coming from the television screen. He turned on a light and opened fire with his rifle. His first shot caught his sister Jennie right between the eyes, killing her instantly. He shot his mother three times and his father twice. His mother moved towards him trying to speak. Lowell calmly told her to shut up and shot her three more times. His father, still alive, attempted to crawl towards the kitchen. Lowell walked up to him, removed the revolver from the holster and shot all of the rounds into his father. He reloaded the revolver and again emptied it into his father. Mr. Andrews was shot a total of 17 times.

6. I don't know any thinking people who still watch CNN
They're just a mouthpiece for the corporations and the two mainstream political parties.

11. Sometimes they'll cover breaking news on the weekends when MSNBC is running the
jail stuff, or other news when MSNBC is focused on politics, but other than that, they suck.

13. Yes, they are good for that
They completely botched coverage of events in Honduras, and their corporate masters backing the coup, no doubt, demanded.

And they were also the best source for up-to-the-minute information on Balloon Boy.

I check Huffington Post, and even Drudge Report, for a rundown of the headlines. But I still have HuffPo and MSNBC entered in my "Mainstream Media" folder.

I listen to Democracy Now! every day to hear what neither party or their masters want me to know. "Upsidedown World" is a good source of information on Latin America that you'll never hear or read about in the mainstream media. People poke fun at it, but I've been told by a friend who's a naval intelligence officer that Russia Today is a very good source of information without a pro-US bias.

DU is actually a really good way to find lots of news sources.

To figure anything out, you have to be able to sort through a lot of bullshit for a lot of sources.

16. Honestly, I learn about stuff on DU before it even gets put up on the CNN or
MSNBC sites, and before I get the Breaking News! e-mails. It's really the best information source I've found.
