Where can I find info Re the senate health care bill
I have seen snippets here and there about what the senate passed and the house may pass. Subsidies up to 88k in income, family of 4. But what about a family of 2, or 3. How about someone who makes 83k for those 4. How about if they are on a state health plan or SSDI?

Apparently I am the informed one in my family, and everyone keeps asking me. I would like to be able to offer them some answers. And have some myself.

Where can I find a good comprehensive summary? No way do I have time to read all 2200 pages, even if I had the drive. Is there an honest calculator out there? Is there at least a good chart or info page so I can make my own calculator?

1. C-Span has an entire archive called the "Health Care Hub"
You can watch every hearing, every Senate session, and you can read the entire bill and the CBO's reports on various versions, what they will cost, what they will save us over the next twenty years. It is a fantastic resource.

2. I have some info below. However, I'd like to note that those who make 30K

(family of four) are paying for their employer based health care plans as well. Employer based plans are NOT free. So, I don't understand how we can collectively complain that those without access are better off not having the ability to buy into a plan.

See the interactive calculator below. You can choose the House/Senate or Obama's plan ~

5. The Kaiser foundation one only does single or 4
Which describes virtually no one I know. If there are 2 parents, there's one kid. If there are 2 kids, there's only one parent. etc. putting all the numbers out for a family of 4 is good marketing for the sell, but going to result in some real surprised pain from the recipients later, I think.

I think that this senate bill is a bum deal all the way around. But hopefully it will help someone, as it appears to be all we are getting.
