Fellow DUers , this is a x-post from General Discussion
Thought that it belonged here as this "man" from General Steel Corporation seems to feel that paying money to advertise on "oxycontin rush" isn't political. Hmmm, silly me-- apparently, it's simply a business decision. Why, oh why would I ever have thought that? Isn't doing just that tacit approval of limbaugh's verbal swill? I ask you to read this "response" and tell me what you think...

you may have read about the campaign to get that ass limbaugh off the air by going after his sponsors. I, like many of you, went the site that listed the names and contact information of the companies that advertise on that moron's show. I sent letters to many of them and although I have received responses from a couple of them but I must say that the response I received from General Steel Corporation PISSED ME OFF. After reading what their "response" was, you'll doubtless be as pissed as me--WARNING NAUSEA INDUCING!!!--

Thank you for your email and message regarding your concerns and I would like to put you at ease. General Steel Corporation is strictly in the business of being the single largest direct supplier of commercial / industrial buildings in the industry. We are NOT politically motivated nor do we have a political agenda. In business marketing and advertising are your life line and key to success. Therefore, we chose those outlets that have the largest audience and the lowest cost to reach them. In addition to those media outlets that you have mentioned and are upset about, General Steel also advertises on liberal outlets such as: MSNBC, CBS, CNN and many others. Whether you are a democrat or republican if you have a building need we want to earn your business. We do NOT discriminate!

As I understand your frustration and anger, don’t let it bother you. Business is business and there are NO underlining messages or meanings in who we choose to advertise with. Again, it is strictly financial.

Thank you for your previous business. If you are in need of another building then I would personally like to assist you through our Corporate Division. Have a great day and feel free to call me or message me anytime.

1. They apparently are only looking at numbers
Here's the approach to take with them--what kind of audience listens to Rush? Is it the QUALITY of people you want to listen to your message?

Though I doubt if it will do much good. ABC has decided not to air a dyamite science fiction mini-series because it is well done and makes people think--instead they are showing drivel for the brain dead. Maybe corporations are going after those types of zombies instead of anyone who has two brain cells with which to think.

5. Masters of Science Fiction
the review I read said that it would be a series which would make Rod Serling proud. You can read about it--and the episodes that have been made--right here:

4. "liberal outlets such as: MSNBC, CBS, CNN"?
This must be a new definition of "liberal".
