Let's not be too quick to bash Tenet
Yes, we know Tenet screwed up terribly, and yes, why in the heck did he wait so long to fess up about some things... We have a lot to be angry about with this guy.

But... let's consider how the center and center-right in this country are going to deal with this. I imagine many of them are mostly accepting Tenet's story at face value, and if so, the Bush Regime may finally be doomed.

I predict a wave of anger mushrooming over the next couple weeks, perhaps like we've never seen before. Let's try to ride this wave to really get impeachment on the table.

Just my thought tonight after watching the 60 Minutes interview.

1. Tenet's a pretty passionate guy
I've never seen him go off like that when he was in office.

2. too late
I already bashed the traitorous SOB and I have no intention of stopping. Not to worry, though, all the center and center-right types that I know are very clear about where I stand.

3. "Tenet screwed up terribly"?
If that's a screw up then what does one call what Cho did?

Both are murderers! Tenet; by his complicity and silence. :grr:

Fuck him!

4. I don't disagree with you, BUT...
I'm saying this could be the moment that finally drags all the rat bastards down. We should be open to that kind of opportunity.

6. You think it's going to happen all at once??
They're going down, one by one. It's in the news daily.

Indicted, investigated, subpoened, imprisoned.

* isn't going anywhere unless he's impeached. And that's a long shot.

Just keep thinking...

12. I don't know. I'm watching to see what happens.
I'm just saying that we all need to be prepared to pounce on the Regime in any way possible if we get that special opportunity. We may now have the beginnings of a wide-scale push for removal of the regime. Or not. But let's keep our antennae up.

13. Republican implosion is a process that takes time and has to unfold.
And unfolding it is. I do not see impeachment happening until there is at least a chance of conviction and Bush would resign if he thought he would actually be convicted in the Senate. But Bushco is coming down, brick by brick.

5. Tenet
Most of our "patriotic" Americans do not know who the current head of the CIA is, let alone who George Tenet was appointed by and continued to serve under and is stil serving under ... Bush(Prescott) and Cheeeeeeeney. He's a POS.

7. Dream on. I wish BFEE was as easily taken down just by a book by Tenet
or even a thousand books by disgruntled employees. But I am disillusioned at best, disabused of the notion that our power elite will ever face justice or even public disdain. That brainwashed 28% (and my own mother is a part of that cult) ensures that BFEE escapes any kind of historical or even modern day thrashing.

Besides, Tenet is basically one of "them". Even this book doesn't throw him entirely out of the club, he's got his sources and his protection players.

I wish it weren't so but Tenet is being fronted by a warring faction of BFEE (or Cheney's gang of thugs). He isn't some kind of newbie just selling a story. He's a major part of whassup in our global village.

8. not sure what you are asking
we shouldn't criticize a murdering liar because some ignorant conservative lemmings might be reading this site and somehow their support is what is keeping impeachment from happening?

11. I am saying that Tenet is possibly a temporary useful ally...
in speeding up the toppling of the Bush Regime. In that respect, let's not discard the Pandora's Box he has opened up for us.
