I don't care how much Tenet cries "foul"
He knew on 9-12 that they were going to invade Iraq.
He did not speak out.
He was complicit.
He is just as guilty as the rest of them as far as I can tell.

Now he wants to sell a book.
More blood money for a man who claims he has "integrity".
What a pathetic and cowardice human being.

2. He's like all the rest of them.. only worried about me-me-me-me
As long as he was in the inner circle, he was content to do their bidding.. but now he's pissed and ready to SELL us the truth..:grr:

Limbo may be gone, but Tenet better hope the pope does away with Hell, too

Shame on this pathetic excuse of a catholic. All we heard about for months..hell..years was how "devout" he is..what a wonderful, caring man he is..how smart he is..how fair he is..

and yet..

He close silence..Silence like this is not "golden" ..It's DEADLY.

He knew the whole war was a scam.. he knew it BEFORE it started.

He was willing to remain "on the team", and keep his trap shut.

Did he speak up for Powell or offer to team up with him in order to inject some sense into the "planning"? Nope.. He waved buh-bye as Colin finally gathered up his shredded reputation and slithered away into the sunset.

Did he speak up before the '04 election, when Georgie was in a bit of a tenuous position, and when a word from him could have saved many lives in Iraq? Nope.

Did he refuse the "medal of freedom"? Nope he bowed his head to george and let him slip that noose over his head..and he did it cheerfully.

Did he speak "on the record" to reporters and "come clean" after he left office? Nope.. he plumped up his journal and gathered his notes so he could CASH IN on all that blood shed because HE kept his mouth shut.

The right loves to trot out the old propaganda posters that remind us about "loose lips", but I'm sure there are thousands of families here, and hundreds of thousands of families THERE, who wish Tenet had looser lips...and sooner. His CLOSED mouth (and mind) killed a lot of innocent people... People who did not deserve the deaths they got.

So, Georgie T, a mea culpa manifesto at this late date is not gonna wipe that sin right outta your soul, buddy.

You CHOSE to hold those facts close to your vest because you have all those children to pay for.. a lot of college tuition..a lot of orthodontia, all those big SUVs to cart the little darlings around in..that big house to hold all their stuff..and a wife who no doubt likes the "good life". It just was not worth the personal risk, to tell the truth when it mattered... was it?

Limbo may be gone, but in your faith, I'm sure Hell's still there, so don't fret.. I have a feeling that even as you are out prostituting yourself, trying to sell that tell-all book of yours, ole Satan is readying your very own cubby, somewhere in hell.. and if I'm not mistaken, George T is very near the cubby that says "George W".. It's alphabetical, don't-cha-know?

16. Is Tenet Catholic? That would suprise me because he's Greek.
Usually they're Greek Orthodox, religion-wise.

3. What got me was when he said he didn't read the SOTU speech
Just passed it on to his associates and told them to let him know if he needed to do anything. You are right, if he didn't speak up, he is complicit.

10. My biggest problem with Tenet
is not that he is full of shit. I already knew that. The most disturbing thing about all of these people is that when you hear them talk it becomes painfully obvious that they just aren't very smart.

13. Wonder what he's thinking
now about it? I hope he's having a "What was I thinking?" moment.

Or maybe it was a political favor being called in?

14. There is a reason we have the phrase
"It's not what you know, it's who you know"- because it's true. Looks like he had a career at a congressional staffer, then got on Clinton's transition team then worked for the security council. A halfwit toady moving up the ladder. PC Load Letter?? What the fuck does that mean?!!!

12. I have no sympathy for him
He had a chance to resign after Afghanistan as a
success and then speak out or disappear during the
Iraq war buildup. He instead was so in love with
his access to power and the Bush admin that he instead
willingly enabled people like Cheney and Rummy and
now he is crying about being played? please. If anyone
hasn't seen it yet I highly recommend the Frontline
docu "The Dark Side" you can view it online here.

15. Agreed! I thought he was totally reprehensible on 60 minutes tonight...
rude, arrogant, pompous, self-righteous, and self-serving. I wouldn't buy his book for anything. His hands have as much blood on them as the rest of the liars who launched this war for power and profit. I personally, could care less about anything else he has to say.

And oh, he should give the medal of freedom to the memory of the soldiers who died because of his role in this war.
